Preheat the oven to 350F and prepare two cookie sheets, lining baking paper.

In a medium bowl, add dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder and a pinch of salt and set aside.

Using an electric mixer, cream the butter (at room temperature) and sugars together until light and fluffy, for about 5 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla essence and beat until combined. Slowly add the flour mixture until just combined. Fold in milk choc chips gently.

Using a scoop or a spoon, form cookie dough balls

Place the dough balls on the cookie sheets spaced 2 to 3 inches apart. Bake the cookies until the edges are golden but the centers are soft for about 15 minutes.

Remove from oven and allow to cool on baking sheet before serving them.
