Easy Barbecued Chicken Skewers Recipe


  • 1 pound chicken breast cut in medium cubes
  • 2 limes - juice from 2 limes
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • salt and pepper


  1. Combine all marinade ingredients in a large bowl and mix.
  2. Add chicken pieces in a sealable plastic bag and add 3/4 of marinade to the bag. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to 8 hours. Save the marinade left for basting when grilling.
  3. Prepare grill to medium high heat. Place marinated chicken pieces on soaked wooden skewers/ metal skewers.
  4. Grill chicken for 3-4 minutes, baste with some of the left marinade marinade and flip chicken skewers. Don't baste the cooked side. Grill for another 3 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  5. Serve with tzatziki on side, some pita bread, corn on the cob or potato salad.
