There are so many fun ways to use chalkboard paint. Here’s one way that I wish I would have thought of a lot sooner: the gift tag! Just think of the different chalkboard gift tags you could make using it: on a teacher gift, baby gift or on a Halloween treat (like you see below).
For a simple chipboard gift tag, I used an old pizza box (hey, it’s free!) along with my die cutting machine. Once you’ve cut out your shapes, simply paint right on the gift tag.
This is a fun way to “boo” your neighbors with a little treat or just to change up a regular old gift tag. Thanks to DecoArt for providing me with this craftastic chalkboard paint.

Awesome idea, thank you!
Brilliant! I love this idea. It’s crafty but not intimidating crafty. Thanks.
Just a little update. These did, in fact, inspire my baby shower favors. I posted photos on my blog and linked back to this post. Thanks again!
Aww, those are cute! Perfect for the holidays. Thanks so much, I’ll be linking.
Brilliant! I’m always on the lookout for creative gift tag ideas that are just a little bit different and these are perfect. Thanks for sharing such a great idea.
What a cute idea. Love it! And the treats look delish too. Better yet? I think I have everything I need to complete this project…
I love what comes out of your head. Such a great idea. And I’ve got all the supplies!!!
These are so cute! Love that the tag is held on with a clothespin. I might have to do that for an upcoming baby shower…
These are so cute, Kami! Can’t wait to use this idea.
Kami! You’re killing me with cuteness! Stop being so adorable.
