Make Your Own Simple Chalkboard Gift Tag

There are so many fun ways to use chalkboard paint. Here’s one way that I wish I would have thought of a lot sooner: the gift tag! Just think of the different chalkboard gift tags you could make using it: on a teacher gift, baby gift or on a Halloween treat (like you see below).

For a simple chipboard gift tag, I used an old pizza box (hey, it’s free!) along with my die cutting machine. Once you’ve cut out your shapes, simply paint right on the gift tag.

This is a fun way to “boo” your neighbors with a little treat or just to change up a regular old gift tag. Thanks to DecoArt for providing me with this craftastic chalkboard paint.

  1. Just a little update. These did, in fact, inspire my baby shower favors. I posted photos on my blog and linked back to this post. Thanks again!

  2. What a cute idea. Love it! And the treats look delish too. Better yet? I think I have everything I need to complete this project…
