Let’s get crafting today! I’ve partnered with Kiwi Crate for today’s creative adventure. We love Kiwi Crate, it’s always such a fun surprise in the mail. I’ve been a past guest crafter for them, creating one of their monthly projects! Their monthly crates include all the materials & inspiration for 2-3 hands-on projects, delivered to your door!
Now they’ve expanded their products to include the perfect crate for your kids: Koala ages 3-4, Kiwi ages 4-8, Tinker 9-14, and Doodle ages 9-16. You can be sure you’re ordering the right crate for your kids every month!
Kiwi Crate sent us a Tinker box to play around with. We opened up our package and it was all the materials to build a trebuchet, or a good ol’ fashioned catapult! My son was in heaven. I put him right to work to build away!
The instructions are easy to follow and come with pictures and text. Matt didn’t have any trouble figuring it out.
Once it was all built, we set it up, ready to go!
We added some weight for the box and placed in our ping pong ball. Off it went… 3, 2, 1!
Wahoo! Of course we did this about 20 more times with all kinds of things to catapult: yarn, pom poms, small toys. We moved from the kitchen table to the outdoors and explored our tinkering even more! So much fun.
Kiwi Crate is happy to offer a discount code for 25% off 1st month subscription to any of the Crates they offer to Make and Takes readers, yippee! Use the code MAT25 and you can save! And I’m also thrilled to be offering a giveaway for one family to win a 3 month subscription to any of Kiwi Crate’s products – Kiwi, Koala, Doodle or Tinker! Enter below to win. Good luck!
