Just this last weekend, Lucy and I traveled to Utah on a fun girl’s craft trip, just the two of us (it also happened to be National Take Your Daughter to Work day!!) We were able to attend the fabulous craft blogging conference SNAP!, as well as visit the Studio 5 morning show with Brooke Walker, an NBC affiliate. I’ll be sure to share more amazing content from the conference, but first I want to share the fun TV segments we made all about Mother’s Day kids crafts! If you’ve been looking for something to craft for Mom for Mother’s Day, read on!
With Mother’s Day around the corner, we’re all thinking about what gifts would be perfect for the moms in our lives. So often, homemade gifts are the very best, as they come from the heart! We came up with 5 craft ideas that would be perfect for any mom. Here are Lucy and I crafting with Brook Walker from the Studio 5 morning show in Utah all about Mother’s Day Crafts! We had so much fun demonstrating the process and the finished result!
Lucy even got to share her amazing talent of finger crochet with Brooke as well! It’s too cute! And didn’t she do an amazing job on air? What a proud mom moment!
I’ve shared the tutorial for paper tube flower stamps and washi tape vases we crafted on the segment. There’s just something awesome about flowers that moms seem to love. These crafted versions are great, too, because they won’t have to be thrown out in a week or two!
If your mom loves to read, this crochet bookmark might be the perfect gift! You could even tuck it inside a book that she’s had her eye on. Summer reading list, here she comes!
Here is the video tutorial of Lucy showing how to finger crochet. From hats to scarves- once you know how to finger knit, there are so many things you can make for mom. Pick out some yarn in her favorite colors and you’re sure to make a gift she’ll love for years to come!
I’ll be sure to share more of the how-to tutorials for the other ideas shared on Studio 5!
What fun things are you making for Mom this year? A handmade gift is such a sweet way to show Mom just how much you love and appreciate her. Let’s hear it for Mom!
How fun to watch Lucy finger crochet with her eyes clothes. Sounds like Lucy is going to need her own blog soon :)
