Looking for some inspiration for fall kid crafts this year? Well, look no further because these Popsicle Stick Apples are as simple as it gets!
If you are like me, you are pretty excited for the change in season. Not only because of the cool down in the weather, but all the fall related events we can take part in this time of year.
One thing we LOVE to do as a family this time of year, is to visit the local apple orchards. We just love picking our own apples and it’s become a fun family tradition that we enjoy doing every fall {plus it’s a great excuse to load up on apple cider and donuts!}
So to get us excited for our upcoming yearly tradition, I recently made these Popsicle Stick Apples with my son and boy were they super fun! I just hope you and your child are inspired to recreate them too! Happy crafting my friends!
Supplies for Popsicle Stick Apples:
- Popsicle Sticks {9 per apple}
- School Glue
- Red Paint
- Paint Brush
- Green/Brown Cardstock
- Scissors
Directions:
First assemble the base of your apples. For each, simply glue your popsicle sticks together to look like a fence {seven next to each other and two across} Set aside to let them dry completely.
Next have your child paint the front of the popsicle stick fence completely red.
Now cut out a stem and small leaf out of the brown & green cardstock.
To finish off the Popsicle Stick Apples kid craft, glue on the paper embellishments to the front and let it all dry completely, before displaying proudly. You can also add other embellishments to really make it your own {like a worm peaking though!}
