The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday. We get to celebrate our great country, spend time with family and friends and there are no obligations when it comes to gifts or decor. I don’t generally do much decorating when it comes to July 4th, but I always try to think of something sweet and simple for table decor.
I decided to involve my toddler in the project this year and the results are about as cute, simple and inexpensive as can be.
Simple 4th of July Centerpieces
Supplies:
- dried black beans
- tea light candle glass votive
- tiny American flags
Instructions:
Have your child count beans as they put them into each glass votive. This was great fun for me and Audrey. We practiced counting as high as she can, counting by two’s and counting backwards.
After the glass votive is nice and full, stick the american flag in the center.
It would be fun to line the center of your picnic table with these darling votives. I think I’ll add a candle between each one to bring a little more sparkle. Happy Independence Day to you!
