How could I not I come up with a crochet pattern for a mustache?! I’m obsessed with crochet and I’m crazy about Movember. It was a match made in heaven!
This pattern is super simple. Perfect for a beginner. You only need to know the basic stitches and you’re all set. And it’s all about color. I started with black yarn, but decided that if you’re going to wear a mustache, you gotta go big and you gotta go bold.
So… I mustache you to crochet!!
Crochet Mustache Pattern
You’ll be glad you did. They make fabulous gifts. I made 50 mustaches for a mustache bouquet.
Here are some hot ladies sporting the ‘stache!!

Supplies:
- crochet hook size I
- yarn, any color + extra for the string
- crochet needle
- scissors
1. Chain stitch 19 stitches, no more, no less.
2. For a second row, skip one stitch and crochet the following stitches:
- 1 sl – slip stitch
- 1 sl – slip stitch
- 1 sc – single crochet
- 1 dc – double crochet
- 1 dc – double crochet
- 1 tc – triple crochet
- 1 tc – triple crochet
- 1 dc – double crochet
- 1 sl – slip stitch
Now REPEAT backwards…
- 1 sl – slip stitch
- 1 dc – double crochet
- 1 tc – triple crochet
- 1 tc – triple crochet
- 1 dc – double crochet
- 1 dc – double crochet
- 1 sc – single crochet
- 1 sl – slip stitch
- 1 sl – slip stitch
3. Cut your yarn and slip stitch it through to tie it off. I also like to tie the two tails together once or twice just to bring the end together tight.
4. Hide your tails using your crochet needle. *You can simply cut your tails at the end, it doesn’t look that bad. But you run the risk of it coming apart at the tie. I suggest you take the time to hide your tails!
5. Cut a long piece of yarn and thread it through your crochet needle. On the back of your mustache, thread through 4-5 stitches to hold the yarn in place.
Even it out, and it’s ready for a sweet face to wear it with pride!
So go, get your stache’ on!! And make sure you tweet or instagram your pic with #mustacheboming to join the Movember fun!
Easy peasy! Thanks for the guidance!

I love this! Is there a knit version? I haven’t grasped the concept of crochet yet.
Those are so cute and fun!
These are awesome. Would be great as a necklace or a brooch. I’ve not crocheted in ages but will have to look my hook out.
All the best.
