Popsicle Stick Frog Kid Craft

Hi my crafty friends!!! We are jumping on by today with our Popsicle Stick Frog Kid Craft idea!!!

Using simple supplies like wooden popsicle sticks, green paint and cardstock– you too can pull this “hopping” kid friendly craft together with your child in no time!!!

So LEAP into action and grab those craft supplies for today’s fun craft! Then use your finished piece for pretend fun {let the kids use them for puppet play} or display it in your home for a fun decoration. Whatever you do – I sure hope you have fun doing it!!! Happy crafting!!!

Popsicle Stick Frog Kid Craft

Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks {3 per frog}
  • Mini Popsicle Sticks {2 per frog}
  • School Glue
  • Green Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Scissors
  • Green/Red Cardstock
  • Wiggle Eyes {2 per frog}
  • optional – glitter, rhinestones, feathers etc.

Directions:

First glue your popsicle sticks together to look like a fence {3 jumbo next to each other with two mini across} Set aside to let it dry completely. Repeat for each frog you want to make.

Now you are ready for paint. Go ahead and squirt some paint on a small paper plate Have children paint their popsicle stick shape completely green. Set aside to let it dry completely.

Next grab your cardstock. Cut out four legs, two circles for the eyes and fun long red tongue to give the frog life!

To finish off your Popsicle Stick Frog Kid Craft – have children glue on their cardstock pieces, as well as some wiggle eyes and other fun embellishments to give it that personalized look! Then let it all sit aside to let it dry completely before displaying and/or playing with proudly!!!
