Putting googly eyes on your Halloween drinks instantly make them creepy and fun for kids. Cool layered drinks look extra spooky with googly eyes, as do our green smoothies; just don’t tell them that these are healthy. Below, we have the coolest purple people eater mocktail, that definitely needs a googly eye added to it.

Purple People Eater mocktail
This purple float requires only two ingredients and is made in seconds.
You’ll need to teach the kids The Purple People Eater song too, so here it is.
Ingredients
- Mountain Dew Purple Thunder, berry plum
- Huckleberry ice cream
- Googly eye (or candy eyeball)

You might want to try other purple sodas, but we tried two others, and the Mountain Dew Purple Thunder not only looked the best, but tasted the best with the ice cream.
- Olipop classic grape – looks too pink, and although has a great flavor, doesn’t taste as great mixed with the ice cream.
- Crush grape – is a deep purple so it looks great, but it’s also very sweet, almost too sweet.
Instructions
Attach your googly eye to the glass first. You can use a small amount of icing to do this whether you use a large plastic googly eye, or a candy googly eye.
Fill the glass about two-thirds with Mountain Dew Purple Thunder; don’t fill it too high, otherwise the froth will spill over the top of the glass when you add the ice cream.

The final step is to top the purple soda with a large scoop of huckleberry ice cream. It’s a very light shade of purple, but when you add it, you’ll find blue, purple, and white froth come up to the top of the glass.
