How to make a Dad Rocks frame
This ‘Day You Rock’ frame is so fun and so easy to make for Dad this Father’s Day. We’ve provided a free printable template so that you can just print and add the rock and photo, but if you want to make one for Grandpa or another family member, simply draw your own, or create your own template in Canva. Just make sure to adjust the size to the picture frame size for printing.
Supplies
- Wood frame – most craft stores have these for $1
- Rock
- Photo of dad
- Permanent marker
- Scissors
- Our printable Dad Rocks template – or make your own
- Hot glue gun with a glue stick
- Acrylic paint
- Paintbrush
Instructions
The first step is to paint your wood frame. You can set this aside to dry while you make the rest of the craft.
While the frame is drying, download and print our Dad Rocks free printable.
Cut out the photo and glue that along with the rock onto the template. Use a permanent marker to draw arms, legs, and anything else you want to draw. Maybe you can include Dad holding a guitar or fishing pole if that’s what he loves to do. Get creative and make this project your own.
Once your frame is dry, you can put your picture in it and wrap it for Dad.
